PROFILE

An industrious Mechanical Engineer graduate (EIT, APEGM) seeking for an opportunity to

impart my knowledge and skills to an organization, and continue to learn and develop within the

industry. Brings close to 6 years progressive Mechanical Engineering work experience which

encompasses both academic and industry related activities. Additionally, has acquired the status

of Permanent Resident (Federal) in Canada, hence, can legally work.

SUMMARY OF DEMONSTRATED SKILLS

Problem Solving Skills:

Frequently makes use of creative and lateral thinking skills in the analysis of acquired

research data. This has engendered useful analysis and inferences which were not readily

observable from acquired data.

Often makes use of a methodological approach in troubleshooting faults with research

equipment and devices. As a result, there are times that the downtime of equipment has

been drastically reduced, hence, fostering an increase in productivity.

Communication Skills:

Has prepared and presented several effective presentations to various audiences, (industry

partners, committee members, staff, students etc). One of such presentations resulted in

receiving the Dr. Gerard T. Simon Award for the best graduate student presentation

at the 36th Annual Workshop of the Microscopical Society of Canada. Additionally,

has prepared a manuscript which has been published in a refereed journal.

Managed to significantly increase the sales of power generating equipment by over 30%

through effective one-on-one interaction with customers.

Team Player:

Collaborated effectively with other teaching assistants to tutor, grade assignments and

supervise undergraduate laboratory sessions. The student feedback with regards to the

performance of the teaching assistants was highly positive.

Collaborated effectively with other team members to successfully carry out repair and

maintenance works on various mechanical equipment machines, as a Mechanical

Engineer Trainee.

Planning and Organization Skills:

Always starts the day with a well-planned and prioritized To-Do list. As a result, duties

are often successfully completed on time and within budget.

A stickler for good record keeping. Consequently, regardless of the intensity with which a

task evolves, this attitude of good record keeping keeps me abreast with any task at hand.

Frequently makes use of data collection and analysis tools to properly obtain, organize

and analyse research data. This has facilitated in the acquisition of quality data, and

excellent analysis and discussion of research data.
