Accomplishments

06/2006 - Current Cal Dive International Houston, Texas

Commercial Diver

I work as a diver on a pipe lay barge. I have been assigned to the same vessel for a majority of my employment. Job tasks include pipe lay and burial, pipeline repair, salvage, hot tap, riser and spool installation, valve installation and removal. Experience with hydraulic tools and underwater burning. I have also been the key person in many structural and piping projects, specifically fabrication and welding.

10/2005 - 07/2006 Stewart and Stevenson Sealy, Texas

Welder 2

I was responsible for the production and maintenance of a robot welding machine used in the fabrication of body parts for military tactical vehicles. While I was employed at Stewart and Stevenson I worked the night shift so that I was able to attend dive school during the day. After I graduated from school I left my position for employment at Cal Dive.

09/2004 - 11/2005 Charmac Trailers Twin Falls, Idaho

Welder

While working at Charmac I was part of a 4 man crew that built cargo trailers. It was a fast paced job and pay was based on production. I left my position with Charmac and relocated to Houston to attend commercial diver training at The Ocean Corporation.

Co-owner and manager

Co-owned and operated a take and bake pizza franchise and coffee shop. During my

time here I also had a welding trailer that allowed me to take personal jobs doing ornamental handrail and gates for upscale homes in the Sun Valley Idaho area.

Welder/Fabricator

Watts Manufacturing was a fabrication and repair shop that mainly catered to the farming and dairy community in southern Idaho. We would build straw spreaders, bale feeders, and a patented Watts designed plow, as well as repair work to various equipment, loader blade replacement, and hard surfacing. I left my position at Watts Manufacturing to run Papa Murphy's Pizza and the coffee shop.

05/1994 - 03/1998 K&T Steel Corporation Twin Falls, Idaho

Welder/Fitter

I began my position with K&T Steel Corporation as a structural welder and tank builder. I quickly moved up and was offered to take part in a one year apprenticeship for structural fitter. I completed the apprenticeship and worked as a journeyman fitter for the remainder of the time I was there.

Ship Welder

This was my first job after I graduated from the welding program at Tongue Point Job Corps. WSI was a ship repair company located at the Swan Island shipyard in Portland. Job tasks pretty much consisted of gusset removal and installation on the framework of oil tankers.

This was my first industrial job after I turned 18. All of our work was at the potato and cheese factories in the Southern Idaho area. I was mainly a concrete construction laborer. The owner retired and sold the company. That is when I decided to attend the welder training at Tongue Point Job Corps.
