levels; Implementation level; Procurement of major Equipments and Supplies;

Works Contract formulations for Civil/ Mechanical/Electrical Works

Contracts, Erection Contracts; Contracts Management; Selection of Sub-

contractors/ Vendors; Award of Works Contracts including preparation of

commercial/contractual terms and conditions; Monitoring Progress of

Projects; Developing of M.I.S. for management; Co-Ordination with various

agencies like Clients, Consultants, Contractors, Suppliers, Statutory

bodies etc. ; Closing of Turnkey projects etc.

Joined as Management Trainee and gradually promoted and presently

functioning as Group General Manager at Eastern Regional Office Kolkata

as overall In-charge for Project Implementation of multi-disciplinary

projects worth Rs. 1100 crores.

The salient features of CDRI project worth Rs. 330 Cr. handled by me as

General Manager & Project Head at Northern Regional Office New Delhi

involved construction of:

. Institutional Area with 6 nos. Laboratory buildings (housing 144

labs), Animal House, 2 nos. Special Equipment buildings,

Administration, Auditorium, Library, Lecture theatre, Conference rooms

etc.

. Nearly 200 residential flats and creation of all infrastructures for

colony including internal services like internal electrification,

water supply, sewerage etc.

. External Services including service buildings, 33KV/11KV Sub-Station,

Water Supply, Fire Fighting, Roads, External Electrification, Rain

Water Harvesting, ETP & STP, HVAC for Institutional Buildings,

Precision A.C. for Special Equipments, LAN, CCTV and Access Control

System, Horticulture, Soft & Hard Landscaping.

Major responsibilities performed by me during 33 years of service in the

company embraced following functional areas:

. Design and Engineering co-ordinations for approval of

Design/Drawings/BOQ & formulation of Technical specifications.

. Materials Management & Contracts and established a large database of

vendors, contractors and other service providers in areas of interest

of the company; evolved effective and efficient registration and

tendering process to ensure timely and cost effective supplies of

material and services, quality, economy and timely delivery being the

main objective.

. Involved in fully computerized project planning, scheduling and

monitoring for various projects; Reports related to critical

activities; hold up analysis; remedial actions proposed with sole

objective to deliver the project

on Time within Cost Parameters.

. Project Management involving detailed planning of Resource schedules ;

breakdown structures of various activities at site, controlling

Regional office and Corporate level;

. Business Development, preparation of Tenders, detailed estimates

inviting offers, negotiations for supplies/works, submission of

tenders, follow up with clients including final negotiations

(commercial/pricing etc)

. Cash-flow of projects ; billing to clients/contractors ; preparation
