To Whom It May Concern:

I have known Julie Phayer since she came to work under my supervision at the Chico State

Wildcat Store in February of 2012. Julie s internship started prior to this date, however February

2012 is when I became the interim Marketing & Graphics Coordinator and really had the

opportunity to come to know Julie Phayer.

In our Marketing Department, Julie s main job responsibility is updating our social media

presence on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Foursquare, Google + and our blog on Tumbler.

Julie initiated the idea for our Tumbler blog, outlined the format and direction it should take,

presented the idea to our Board of Directors, and launched our blog this year. The Wildcat

Store blog has been very well received. Julie also worked on creating connections with those

responsible for social media in other departments on our campus. She began wonderful,

working relationships with our Admissions Office and Public Affairs & Publication Office that will

be beneficial for years to come.

In addition to social media duties, Julie also assisted in promotional events for the store. I found

Julie s organizational skills to be invaluable. Julie outlined timelines, created lists of duties to be

accomplished, and summarized the outcomes of our storewide events. She put all of this

information into a comprehensive, chronological binder and even set up the binder for the

upcoming year. In addition to all of this, she created a Marketing Intern Manual compiling the

job responsibilities and procedures for those that will follow in her footsteps.

I am confident that Julie s intelligence, enthusiasm, organizational skills, knack for social media,

and strong work ethic will make her a superb addition to any work environment. She is, all

around, a wonderful person and a wonderful employee. I m sure you will enjoy working with her

as much as I have.
