Education

PhD es Sciences Economiques et Sociales, Information Systems specialization

University of Geneva2004 - 2007

This work was part of the European IST Project EDOS (Environment for the Development and

Distribution of OpenSource Software) led by Mandriva, the Linux distribution company. This

project aimed at providing a peer-to-peer solution for the distribution of open source

code. In this scope, the goal of my contribution was to provide a means for streamlining

this process considering all involved activities such as development, defect tracking,

testing, distribution, etc. This research resulted in a PhD entitled "A Reference Model

for Free / Open Source Software (F/OSS) Process Management" which provided an extensible

model and its implementation for describing workflows involved in distributed environments

like F/OSS. The model allows to reason about the F/OSS process and to measure it in a

global manner in order to be able to improve it.

I defended the thesis on September 24th 2007 and obtained my PhD with highest honors.

MAS, Management and Technologies of Information Systems

University of Geneva

2002 - 2003

The key achievement of my MAS thesis was to provide a model and java framework allowing

peers to seamlessly renegotiate and hotswap the communication means they use in case of

network outage. It resulted in a paper presented at Hawaii International Conference on

System Sciences (HICSS 37) in 2004 and in a Master thesis entitled "Hot-Swapping

Communication Models in P2P Networks". Degree obtained with great honors.

The DEA in Management and Technologies of Information Systems is a joined European degree

delivered by the University of Lausanne, the University of Geneva in Switzerland, by the

University Josef Fourier in Grenoble and the University of Annecy in France.

M Sc, Information Technology

University of Geneva

1997 - 2001

The aim of this M Sc thesis was to improve a secure Object Spaces framework by providing

means to distribute it on multiple nodes. Degree obtained with great honors.
