Design Center Project Manager for Polyone Distribution, Atlanta, GA (2002 – 2009)
Independently managed all aspects of plastics consultancy service covering eastern US and Canada for a
leading plastics material supplier, including interfacing with clients at all organization levels, quoting costs,
conducting in-depth part evaluations for a wide variety of markets and making design recommendations based
on plastics part and mold design principles. Extensive knowledge of polymers and selection based upon
required performance, including but not limited to: olefins, styrenes, polyesters, polyurethanes, pvc’s and all
filled and unfilled engineering resins. Hired, managed/mentored technical hotline personnel and
administrative support.
• Consistent in leading eastern district and surpassing established goals (exceeded results for 2008 by 24%
over 2007).
• Ensured that customer’s parts were created with the highest quality and lowest cost.
• Selected by senior management as key account project engineer for PolyOne customer with sales of

Design Engineer for Polyone Distribution (1995 – 2002)
• Reduced material costs and cycle time by more than 30% through recommending alternative resin
materials and improving part designs for multiple accounts.
• Decreased machining time, part weight, and overall costs by at least 50%, while maintaining part
strength and function by recommending metal to plastic conversions and providing part design advice for
multiple accounts.
