ACADEMIC PROJECT EXPERIENCE
Stirling Engine Mode, OSU, Autumn 09
Designed a working model of Stirling Engine which would function with
different types of fuel
Modeled parts in SolidWorks and purchased products within the budget
provided
Modeled a working Stirling engine and determined efficiency varied with
fuels used
Solar Powered Boat Lift, OSU, Autumn 09
- Worked as a team to design a boat lift that lifted boat from the
water and protected it from wear and tear in winter
Analyzed solar, electric and hydraulic systems of the boat lift
Designed a boat lift within the budget that could carry various boats
with a maximum weight of 2500 lb.
Design a Vehicle Roof Rack Assist, OSU, Winter 08
Collaborated to design a mechanism to assist individuals in loading
luggage onto the vehicle top
Used a four bar linkage system for the design in Solid Edge, followed by
a prototype made out of wood
Created a roof rack assist that could lift heavy loads with minimal work
load for individuals
Performance Analysis of a Diesel Engine, OSU, Autumn 08
Analyzed the efficiency and performance of a diesel engine
Determined engine cycle and various factors that affected the performance
and efficiency of the engine
Designed a low cost high efficiency Diesel Engine with least oil
consumption contributing to energy saving
Independent Project on analysis of pressure on human teeth from chewing
using ANSYS as a part of Technical elective
