• Managed all aspects of new construction barge fabrication. Hired and trained a workforce of 135
employees.
• Took overall performance efficiency rate from 56% to 95% in the first year, by introducing lean
principles such as performance monitoring boards, individual expectations, and 5s principles.
• Reduced monthly consumable costs by 30% by monitoring equipment ordering, and necessary
usage.
• Spearheaded safety committee, and served on the committee, developing company safety rules
and regulations. Also implemented safety audits and safety investigations, resulting in a decrease
in OSHA recordable rate. (from 24.3 to 7)
• Introduced new and more efficient welding and fitting methods, such as semi-automated welding,
