Program Manager
Managed new vehicle Programs in the heavy truck and school bus market for
largest customer, Navistar.
Developed Gantt charts to prioritize and manage all critical dates for raw
materials, tools & equipment, all prototype and pre-launch events leading
to start of production and Engineering Changes along the way. Familiarity
with many production processes and start-up of new equipment, along with
previous metal stamping and welding experience was valuable in getting most
problems resolved very early in the launch timeline. Worked with the
Quality Engineer at all tool trials and runoffs to reduce or eliminate
process variation.

evaluating and correcting part capability issues, and assisting with cost
reductions and method improvements. Assist with all equipment start-ups.
Direct supervision of our 17 man Tool & Die Team, Duties included:
Scheduling all repair, and preventive die maintenance activities. Issue
daily work assignments based on production priorities. Developed annual
goals & objectives for the toolroom & reported progress toward their
attainment. Developed capital equipment requests to support aggressive
performance improvements.

Process / Tooling Engineer
My team, was responsible for (5) new progressive stamping dies (2)
hydraulic assembly presses, (1) bowl fed projection nut welder, & a
$900,000 Front Upper Control Arm assembly machine. Supported continuous
improvement efforts on the shop floor. Managed new part programs from award
of business thru equipment run-off and Production Part Approval.
Coordinated the efforts of Tool & Die shops, material suppliers, and
internal launch teams at both the Bluffton, and Upper Sandusky Ohio
facilities. Maintained project timelines; Produced Flow Charts, Control
Plans, and Process Capability reports.
