PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Mr Adegbayi has over 5 years of experience providing technical services
and engineering support in regulatory and environmental programs involving
site investigation and characterization, remedial investigation,
remediation and restoration that involves soil and groundwater, aquifer
testing/analyses, groundwater modeling, field data acquisition, quality
control/quality assurance, and report preparation. He has served in various
roles as a field geologist, principal investigator and environmental
technician on a wide variety of projects involving remedial investigation
and implementation of remedial action work-plan for underground storage
tank sites, industrial sites regulated by Industrial Site Recovery Act
(ISRA) and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), and other
industrial, commercial and residential properties.
He has conducted several groundwater modeling (Numerical Modeling) for
site aquifers having a wide variety of geologic and hydrologic conditions.
These include aquifers in glacial till, lacustrine deposit and fractured
bedrock aquifers, aquifers in sand and gravel deposits and aquifers that
are significantly affected by man-made features such as urban development.
Mr Adegbayi routinely uses groundwater flow, particle tracking, time of
travel, capture zone analysis, contaminant fate and transport models to
assist in determining the most appropriate remedial action for sites having
groundwater contaminants, particularly for use in natural attenuation
scenarios. He is familiar with latest in-situ remediation technologies such
as chemical oxidation, thermal remediation (thermal resistant heating),
chemical precipitation/flocculation (Wetsep), air sparging, air stripping.
In addition, he also provides expertise in geographic information system
(GIS) using ArcMap 9.x and accessing geographic data for use in
environmental site assessments, working knowledge of GPS application and
elevation reading/measurement. Experienced in multi-media soil and
groundwater sampling (Soil boring, logging, sampling) real-time air
monitoring and sampling, soil gas/vapor sampling. Also experienced in the
donning and doffing of personal protective equipments (PPE level B through
level D) Mr Adegbayi is bi-lingual (English/ little Spanish), ready and
available for any job related travel.
A summary of projects in which Mr Adegbayi has served as a field
geologist, principal investigator and environmental technician is provided
below.
Field geologist for Potomac-Hudson Environmental Inc, on a 56 acre
remediation project involving soil/groundwater, and both dense non-
aqueous phase liquid (DNAPL) and light non-aqueous phase liquid (LNAPL)
recovery from a former Streichler terminal facility project in Jersey
City, New Jersey. The scope of work included soil and groundwater
remedial investigation, characterization, horizontal and vertical
delineation, aquifer testing/analyses, groundwater modeling, remediation
system design/installation and consequent remedial action that included
implementation of product recovery, soil remediation/excavation and pit
dewatering, water treatment system operation and maintenance, multi-media
soil/groundwater sampling, data evaluation and technical report writing.
Hazardous and non- hazardous waste management and disposal of oil-stained
soil. Contractor and regulatory agents interface. Client: Exxon.
Principal investigator, Investigation involving soil/groundwater
contamination and quality assessment of a portion of the Newark bay area.
This entailed soil boring, logging and sampling, geological mapping,
preparation of chain of custody, analytical data review/evaluation with
federal and state regulatory standard, global positioning system (GPS)
locations measurement using trimble (GeoXT) sub-meter, technical report
writing. Collaboration: Montclair State University.
Principal investigator, Involving numerical modeling and simulation of
groundwater flow on a 28 acre site slated for redevelopment in Jersey
City NJ. I performed aquifer testing/analyses (Slug/pumping test),
hydraulic conductivity and transmissivity determination, Static liquid
level gauging, GPS reading and subsequent numeric modeling using current
groundwater modeling system software for groundwater flow, contaminant
fate and transport models, software including GMS Modflow, Modpath,
MT3D96, Surfer 8. Collaboration with Montclair State University.
Co- investigator, limnological investigation involving Lake Champlain
underwater topography using SONAR, sediment bulk density, total organic
carbon, magnetic susceptibility. I performed sediment coring, logging and
sub-sampling, laboratory analyses, data review/evaluation, interpretation
and technical report writing. Global Positioning System (GPS) location
measurement was performed using trimble (GeoXT) sub-meter. Collaboration:
Montclair State University and University of Vermont.
Environmental technician, I provided general engineering
support/solutions on a wide variety of technical services involving PCBs
decontamination, well installation and development, pump/sump
installation and maintenance, designed, installed, operated and
maintained a150gpm groundwater recovery and treatment plant (Oil-Water
Separator, Wet-sep and Air-stripper), periodic groundwater and wastewater
sampling and analyses, liquid level measurement, product
recovery/bailing, electrical/mechanical troubleshooting, wire pulling and
re-installation, plumbing/wood work. Client: W.A. Residential Inc.
