July 2007 - April 2009 Plant Manager Superior
Essex
Manage 250,000 square foot facility with 260 employees. Developed key
metrics and initiated lean process including operator lead process control
for the plant. Developed communication plan for all levels of the
organization to build trust and team work in the organization. Improved
key metrics year over year including $520k improvement in costs, 50%
landfill reduction, 50% safety improvement, and 20% increase in inventory
turns. Facility was closed due to business demand.
Jan 2003 - July 2007 N. America Engineering Team Leader Belden
- Corporate
Developed North America strategies and implementation of projects through
cross-functional teams. Utilization of lean concepts to improve metrics
allowing the restructure of the North American footprint. Project Manager
for new facility in Mexico. Lead transfer of production from Montreal
Plant to United States along with relocation of multiples sites to Mexico.
. Developed timeline and cost structure for new 350K square foot Mexico
facility. Building construction completed on budget plus one month
ahead of schedule.
. Completed lean projects that reduced space requirements of new
locations by 40%, reduction in labor by 15% and WIP reduction by 60%.
. North America Networking products team leader for corporate lean
initiative.
. First two years included plant management of 250K sq ft facility until
operations relocated to Mexico.

Leadership for all production and process engineering functions along with
capital budget. Expense budget responsibilities for Production and
Engineering departments. Initially managed project to build new factory and
relocate two facilities into the new plant.
. Completed construction of new 250K square foot factory within budget and
on schedule.
. Coordinated the relocation of two manufacturing factories into the new
building within budget and on schedule. Project reduced operating costs
by $4.2MM per year.
. Established production cells and introduced lean manufacturing concepts
reducing inventory by 40% floor space by 45% and labor content by 25%
from benchmark.
. Managed production floor along with Engineering for two years.

Managed engineering and maintenance activities for 1.2 million square foot
