RE: Manager, Technical Services
Dear Hiring Manager,
It is with great interest that I provide my resume in response to your
recent opportunity posting on ResumeBook360 for the Manager, Technical
Services position.
Over the past 20 years I have been afforded many opportunities to develop a
wide range of skills that include engineering, operations, and sales. This
professional maturity now allows me to know exactly where my career
passions are and I believe that I can foster relationships and manage
projects exceptionally well. It is what drives me. In fact, I am in the
process of earning my certification as a Project Manager Professional
(PMP). Currently I work with my clients, other branch offices, and
functional operation teams to provide technical services to support mid and
large sized businesses.
Based solely on the requirements listed on the opportunity I know that I
can help you. I have included my resume for your review. However, I also
know that there is always more to a position than what is written in the
posting, and a person's resume is no different. I anticipate your business
is very fast paced, requires exceptional customer service to achieve repeat
business, and must be process driven. I look forward to hearing from you so
that we may discuss the specifics of this opportunity.
Best Regards,
Jeff Anderson

Skills:
Business Researched Indiana business databases to identify prospects and
Development then implemented an on-line CRM (Customer Relationship Management)
database to track them. Conducted a cold calling campaign and
increased sales volume from $83K to $185K (a 122% increase) over a
three-year period. This included both organic growth (three
existing partners) and new client growth (addition of nine new
partnerships).
Developed CRM data entry protocols to maximize efficiency.
Currently responsible for system training to all new account
managers.
Found and currently developing over 1,000 prospects in the state of
Indiana.
Personnel Documented and implemented an operations philosophy focusing on
Management consistency, responsiveness, and preparedness to create a more
positive work environment. The resulting cultural shift helped to
increase gross profit margins from 36% to 46% (a 28% increase) and
provided organic customer growth.
Created an entrepreneurial spirit that fostered new leaders
including an operations manager and program managers from existing
staff. This gave team members a succession plan to work toward.
Project Aligned company's business processes to PMI's project management
Management book of knowledge by documenting required processes and developed a
knowledge base from past projects to use as a resource.
Participated in a 6 month Cummins (company's client) sponsored
Six-Sigma continuous improvement project that resulted in process
time savings of over 70% (a break through improvement) to one of
the company's longest running programs. DMAIC methodology (Define,
Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) instilled to all project
leaders and required on all operation based programs.
Piloted a new legacy as-built parts catalog program at Komatsu
America's construction equipment division in Vernon Hill, Illinois
(company's client). Transferred program to company's internal
Indiana office then recruited and trained a team of technical
writers and illustrators to support the growth of the relationship.
Provided continued program leadership and through DMAIC
methodologies achieved Zero Defect status eliminating the need for
Komatsu America to proof the outsourced work that was done by our
team.
Led a paradigm shift at Siemens Power Corporation's technical
publications department from using desktop publishing personnel to
resident subject matter experts writing new material directly from
engineering supplied data. Networked through company to add
electrical, instrumentation & control, and construction
department's publications needs as well. Wrote Guide to
Publications to create a standard across all manuals and between
writers. Re-organized all technical manuals to a common navigation
structure allowing users with little experience to find information
quickly. This created consistency across the company and improved
quality and efficiency.
