COVER SHEET
To Whom It May Concern:
I would like to express my sincere thanks for your interest in my resume
and consideration for this great opportunity.
I attended Jilin University in China for five years, graduating with a
Bachelor of Science degree in Semiconductor Engineering. My majors were
Semiconductor Materials and Electronics, with minors in Chemistry and
Physics.
Since graduating I have had 17 years experience in the fields of
electronics and semiconductor manufacturing, also focusing on the
professional areas of supplier quality improvement in the automotive field
and new product design and quality in the field of flexible circuits. I
was engaged in key customer service while in the semiconductor field,
global purchasing management in the automotive field, and both quality and
design in flexible circuits. In all of these engineering and management
positions my main concentration dealt primarily with process quality
control and continuous improvement in manufacturing at all levels. As I
developed my career in North America, I focused on new product design and
qualification processes.
My first four years of work were spent in an electronics office of a
Chinese state owned institution. I practiced trace impurity elemental
chemical analysis for semiconductor application materials. Then I spent
more than four years in Motorola Semiconductor's TianJin facility,
demonstrating strong skills in process quality control and quality system
maintenance. This background enabled me to enter the automotive
electronics field, with years spent at Delphi and Ford Motor Company. Two
and a half years were spent with STMicroelectronics as a Resident Engineer
to support their key customer Seagate, solving problems with STM IC devices
on Seagate hard disk production lines. In my last year in China, I was
employed by Ford Global Purchasing as Supplier Technical Support (STA) for
electrical components.
I immigrated to the United States in September 2006. Parlex Corp., which
is a specialist in flexible circuit design and manufacture offered me an
opportunity as a New Product Quality Engineer in July'2007. Due to
changing business conditions I was later transferred to a medical products
design group with responsibility for failure analysis and circuit layout
design.
I would appreciate your willingness to discuss with me how my professional
qualifications can help you to meet your business goals.
My enclosed resume is a good summary of my background and experience.
Should you require additional information, I may be reached by e-mail or
phone.
