Experience

Over 25 years experience as a conventional mortgage underwriter. As such,

conducted underwriting training sessions for the secondary market, trained

staff underwriters, developed underwriting guidelines and procedures, and

acted as guest speaker at various appraisal and underwriting seminars.

Processed & modified low interest rate business, residential & personal

loans to disaster victims for the SBA. As a manager, organized internal

operations to effect a streamlined work environment as well as opened,

staffed and trained personnel for a successful branch office of a national

concern.

The above overlaps 20 years as a contract underwriter in various

capacities: Front line (retail & wholesale) for over ten years working

directly for originators as well as MI companies covering a wide variety of

paper (conforming, non-conforming, A through D risks, first and second

liens) utilizing various automated underwriting systems including DU & LP;

Approximately one year in quality control following FNMA/FHLMC regulations;

Over six years participating in due diligence assignments (Underwriting &

QC) for performing and non-performing loans, all grades for a variety of

purposes. Reviewed non-performing second liens for repurchase due to fraud

or non-adherence to guidelines.

Conventional Underwriter for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage,

Minneapolis, MN: Performed the initial underwrite as well as

documention review for retail residential first lien refinances,

including HARP loans. Underwriting authority governed by risk

rather than loan amount, with riskier transactions requiring the

signature of more than one underwriter.

11/06-12/07: F.J. Staffing, Sarasota, FL. Senior Conventional

Wholesale/Correspondent Underwriter for Citimortgage, O'Fallon,

MO: Manually underwrote closed second mortgages for purchase

and performed compliance and fraud review on non-performing

loans for repurchase. Underwriting authority to $1.5 million

loan amount.

09/03-05/06: The Clayton Group, Shelton, CT. Due diligence underwriter

& Quality Control Reviewer.

07/03-09/03: GE Mortgage Insurance Company, Phoenix, AZ. Senior

frontline wholesale underwriter for Chase Home Mortgage in Mesa,

AZ: Manually underwrote conventional first liens for prior

approval and closing. Senior retail frontline underwriter for

Ryland Homes in Scottsdale, AZ: Manually underwrote retail

conventional first liens secured by new construction following

investor guidelines.

03/02-07/03: Provident Group, Cardiff By The Sea, CA. Level IV

Conventional Underwriter for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage in

several locations: Tempe, AZ & Earth City, MO: Performed the

initial underwrite as well as documention review for retail

residential purchases and refinances first liens. Irvine, CA:

Performed the initial manual underwrite as well as documention

review for closing on wholesale residential first liens,

occasionally utilizing LP and DU. Underwriting authority to $2

million.

09/01-02/02: QMCI, Carlsbad, CA. Level IV Underwriter for Wells Fargo

Home Mortgage, Frederick, MD: Performed the initial underwrite

as well as documention review for retail residential purchases

and refinances in first lien position. Underwriting authority to

03/01-07/01: Provident Group, Cardiff-By-The-Sea, CA. Frontline Retail

Underwriter IV, Wells Fargo Home, Frederick, MD: Performed the

initial underwrite as well as documention review for retail

residential purchases and refinances in first lien position.

08/97-02/99: Contemporary Services, Inc for Amerin Investor Services,

Westchester, IL: Retail & Wholesale Underwriter for various

lenders in Southern California (DiTech Funding, BankAmerica

Mortgage, Norwest Mortgage, New America & North American) &

Westchester, IL. Performed manual as well as DU and LP assisted

underwrites.

06/95-09/96: F. J. Enterprises, Sarasota, FL: Senior Underwriter for

Prudential Home Mortgage Corp., Springfield, IL: Underwrote non-

conforming first liens submitted by correspondent lenders for

prior approval and/or purchase. Underwriting authority to $2

million. After the sale of Prudential to Norwest Mortgage,

learned the entire LPS process (from registration through

disbursement) and was sent to Norwest Correspondent Lending in

Edina, MN to train that site on the LPS program.
