Le Mont Consulting is a consulting firm offering commercial and management
expertise on a global scale.
Position: Managing Director
Business skills provided and achievements:
Market risk and opportunity analysis & due diligence for prospective
investments.
Assisted a major international hotel chain with their Southern African
investment strategy.
Advised on investment case and perceived risk. Nine months time frame.
The sourcing of production and product partners in South East Asia and

separate initiative that involved sourcing commodity based and new products

2005 - 2007 - SANS Fibres (Pty) Ltd
SANS Fibres (Pty) Ltd was a wholly owned subsidiary of AECI (Pty) Ltd which
is a listed concern in the Specialty Chemicals Sector. The company produced
synthetic filament fibre and PET polymers.
Three senior positions held concurrently:
Position: Commercial Business/Production Head: South East Asia, China &
Africa
Senior Commercial position with overall commercial and manufacturing
responsibility for regions mentioned and asset accountability for
production units supplying said regions.
Responsible for commercial strategy development and implementation for
these three regions. Achieved profitable over budget results for all
regions managed. Responsible for five commercial teams accountable for the
three regions. P & L responsibility for these regions. Revenue in the
region of $150 million
The continual analysis and interpretation of global market information both
commercial and technical and the subsequent re-alignment of company/plant
strategy in order to remain globally competitive
The responsibility for production planning and forecasts, balancing
commercial demand with plant capabilities. This included raw material
planning.
The responsibility of accurate market volume forecasting that resulted in
accurate budgeting being achieved.

of said goods in the local market. Cost and pricing responsibility meant
total P & L for this division.

Senior position responsible for the supply and export of locally
manufactured products to 48 countries globally. At that stage the largest
exporters of containers through Cape Town harbor.
Overall operational responsibility for the exporting of manufactured
product globally. Management of logistical shipping staff and external
agents globally
Responsible for contract and shipping rate negotiation with freight and
shipping concerns
The development of effective logistical communication platforms and
structures that complimented the operational capability of the division and
allowed the department to maximize the skills sets. This included the
implementation of a logistical office and warehouse in Singapore.
Summary of responsibilities
I provided all subordinates that reported to me with continual performance
evaluation that allowed for the effective management of a variable pay
incentive scheme. I implemented an ongoing mentor and coaching program that
promoted personal growth and assisted in company productivity. These broad
based and cross-functional responsibilities allowed me to work at a
tactical, strategical and operational level which resulted in the
achievement of all set strategic initiatives and supported the company

2002 - 2005 SANS Fibres Europe
Commercial office responsible for the technical, marketing and sales of
manufactured goods into Europe and Eastern Europe
Position - European Marketing & Sales Manager
I was responsible for the development and implementation of key strategic
sales and marketing initiatives for Europe and Eastern Europe.
Over a three year period the region was turned from a profit loss to a
profitable market by the systematic re-mixing of markets and products.
I was responsible for creating and maintaining of relationships with key
client decision makers across the entire region.
I continually implemented market intelligence initiatives that focused on
the investigation of market trends that allowed for the accurate
forecasting and subsequent budgeting of product and financials to take
place. Responsible for debtor book for this region
Revenue stemming from the Europe was in the region $ 50 million. Reason for
leaving was promotion.
1996-2002 SANS Fibres (Pty) Ltd
Total accountability for the procurement and marketing of traded products
sources globally
Position- Global Trading Manager
I had control and management of the procurement of goods sourced form
global locations. It included the co-ordination of marketing initiatives
that supported the overall strategy of supply local clients with traded
alternatives.
This involved extensive travel of over 200 days per year and delivered in
the region of 5000 tons of product annually.
It meant the development and maintaining of critical relationships with key
suppliers globally.
I was responsible for identifying technically proficient products for local
markets.
The position included reporting on global market and technical trends.
1992-1996 - SANS Fibres (Pty) Ltd
National responsibility of managing key industrial accounts in the
automotive and mining trade sectors.
Position: National Key Account Manager Industrial Products
This position involved the marketing and selling of technically critical
products into high end specialty markets.
Responsibility included forecasting, budgeting, sales, market intelligence,
relationship management, price negotiations, production co-ordination,
research & development and the management of regional commercial staff.
