Electron-Wire was a $350 million manufacturer of electrical wiring
harnesses for the automotive and heavy equipment industry). Initially hired
as Troubleshooter for all six plants in the Truck and Industrial Products
Group.
Plant Manager-Truck & Industrial Products Group, Campbellsburg,
Kentucky
. Responsible for all plant manufacturing and business operations including
customer service, quality and shipping/receiving with annual sales of
$14 million with 400 employees.
. Managed ongoing relationship with all key customers including Ford Truck,
Mack Truck and Cummins Engine.

current/on-time through application of more effective manufacturing

1992
Dill Products was a small manufacturer of wiring harnesses for the heavy-
duty truck industry; main customers included Kenworth, Peterbilt,
Freightliner, Mack, Volvo-White and Western Star Trucks
Plant Manager, Rock Hill, South Carolina, 1989 - 1992
Transferred to Rock Hill for the specific assignment of increasing an
existing work force of 18 production workers to a total of 200
employees. Total responsibility for all phases of management,
purchasing, production, maintenance, quality control and personnel.
. Developed all plant manufacturing systems and procedures for a
remote, stand-alone facility. Aggressively sought and sold new
customers throughout Georgia and the Carolinas to increase sales.
Results: Increased sales; however, as a result of severe cash flows
the corporation filed for bankruptcy.
Plant Manager, David City, Nebraska, 1984 - 1989
. Responsible for multi-plant operations with a total employment of 200.
. Developed an exceptionally strong management team. Increased
production efficiency more than 40%. Expanded plant from 38 to 200
employees in four and a half years. Took gross sales from $365,000
to more than $7 million in four years.
. Charged in 1988 with total responsibility for construction,
financing, design, layout of additional 66,000 sq. ft. facility.
Start-to-finish construction was completed in 91 days.
