Dean Curtis Fairley
Summary A highly experienced Sales / Operations Executive who
has demonstrated the ability to lead diverse teams of
professionals to new levels of success in a highly
competitive industry. My strong technical and business
qualifications with an impressive track record of more
than 20 years of hands-on experience in strategic
planning, business development, project and product
management, and system strategies are unmatched. A
proven ability to successfully analyze an organization's
critical business requirements, identify deficiencies
and potential opportunities, and develop innovative and
cost-effective solutions for enhancing competitiveness,
increasing revenues, and improving customer service
offerings.
Core Leadership: From being a NCO in the Marine Corp to the
Capabilities many other management positions I held in my career I
learned how to be an effective leader. These skills have
carried through my academic and professional career.
These experiences taught me the line between delegation
and participation.
Critical/creative thinking skills: As a manager of many
different business units along with the natural creative
thinking required in graphic arts, I use
critical/creative thinking skills all the time. Thinking
out of the box is a must for differentiating yourself
and your organization. In an extremely competitive
business such as graphic arts I realized this is a must
to insure you and your team stands out of the crowd.
This forces a constant innovative attitude.
Effective communication: Business professionals are
limited on time and need reports that get the point
across in a timely and effective manner. In all of the
reports I write, I keep this in mind. Time is money, so
the faster you can get a point across the better. I have
taken public speaking and writing courses to assist me
in effective written and verbal communication.
Team effectiveness: I have been involved in many team
projects for the companies I have worked for. From
strategic planning responsibilities, establishing Small
Business Units to create new opportunities and many
different roles in the merger and acquisitions process I
have contributed to the growth and success of the
companies I worked for.
Managing change: In our current economy, change is
necessary and cannot be thought of as negative. Change
is an opportunity for improvement. Having worked within
the printing industry, I constantly have had to rethink
the marketing strategy along with manufacturing
processes to succeed in an ever changing marketplace.
