SAP 6.0 Convergence: Technical lead:
As part of converging existing SAP 4.0b and SAP 4.6c systems into SAP 6.0,
was responsible for porting existing custom interfaces and reports.
. Created functional specs and tested 20 custom programs for accuracy
and performance. Was a great help in mapping and loading data for
customer master, material master, customer hierarchies, pricing data
etc.

Centralized customer master data from 3 companies of the organization.
. Designed input file layouts, created program to upload customer master
using BDC to load customer from other companies.
. Created custom program to update the customer master (added user exits
to standard SAP program) to validate the number ranges by location.
(customer numbers were not unique across the companies in legacy
systems).
. Created custom program to download customers to legacy systems,
scheduled jobs to transmit changes every 30 minutes.
. Developed Unix scripts for interfacing.

Account receivable and General ledger migration: Technical Lead
Developed interfaces, input file layouts, custom programs to upload daily
invoices into SAP for 3 companies of the organization.
. Created program to accept files from 60 locations, with duplicate file
check and archiving after successful completion.
Private Label EDI order processing:
. Developed a custom program to split the incoming orders based on the
company and customers. Incoming sales orders were received from the
customer for all locations. The local orders were submitted to IDOCs
to create SAP sales orders and other orders were printed and
transmitted to the legacy systems.
Other processes supported:
. Created interfaces to outside applications like Margin Minder, Cognos,
Hyperion, Getpaid, A/R statements to outside vendors etc.
. Created various custom reports for A/R aging, Statements, Dunning etc.
. Monitored batch jobs, BDC sessions, Unix scripts, EDIs, IDOCs etc.
. Provided user support in master data, sales order processing, pricing,
EDIs.
Dispatching and route accounting systems (two-part application on AS/400) :
Technical Lead
. AS/400: Dispatching included sending customer changes to legacy
system, capturing sales orders from Laptops, routing the customers and
downloading the orders into the handheld devices.
. Sales upload included processing invoices from handhelds, creating
sales orders to SAP, Creating IDOCs in SAP and processing IDOCs.
Monitoring the jobs, supporting the user in tallying the sales and
IDOC corrections, creating deliveries and invoices.
