Mechanical Engineer/Designer
Extensive experience in the design of complex weld
tooling for large robotic weld cells in automotive
manufacturing. Provide creative and effective
solutions for challenging welding conditions and
complex automotive parts.
Principle designer of robotic weld tooling for the
2006 Honda Civic seat frames. Project included
front and rear seating for all U.S. and Canadian
models. The tooling required precise, complex
fixturing utilizing pneumatic actuators for
location and clamping.
Designed an automated data generation system for a
complex assembly machine. Data included positional
and dimensional information for the build of more
than 5,000 different sizes and configurations of
the product. The system used Driveworks KBE
software and Solidworks to generate 3D CAD models
and drawings. Using the API, the positional and
dimensional data was exported to XML for use by the
machine database.
Design of special machinery for factory automation,
leak test stations and assembly fixturing.
Provide exceptional customer service with build
support and problem resolution
