Professional Experience
United States Army, 2004-present
Battalion Sniper Section Leader, 2-7 Cavalry Battalion, Fort Hood TX (2007-
2009)
Managed and employed nine highly trained snipers in a Mechanized Infantry
Battalion in both stateside training exercises and Iraq deployment,
gathered and reported intelligence information and neutralized enemy
activity with long-range precision fire.
Key Contributions and Accomplishments:
- Provided critical reconnaissance and target interdiction for United
States and Iraqi Ground Forces, allowing maneuverability and leading to the
capture of over fifty personnel linked to militia forces during Operation
Iraqi Freedom 08-10.
- Led snipers on over thirty Small Kill Team operations in the Maysan
Province of Iraq, reducing the number of rocket attacks by fifty percent.
- Led and executed over two hundred combat missions as both Sniper and
Security Team Leader for both the 2-7 Cavalry Battalion and Provincial
Reconstruction Team (Department of State)
-Implemented Battalion-wide Long Range Marksmanship Program for over one-
hundred soldiers.
Infantry Rifle Squad Leader, 1-12 Infantry Battalion, Fort Hood TX (2004-
2007)
Led nine-man Infantry Rifle Squad in both stateside National Training
Center and Joint Readiness Training Center live-fire exercises, led and
executed mission-critical patrols during Operation Iraqi Freedom 05-08.
Key Contributions and Accomplishments:
- Led over one hundred route clearance patrols in Baghdad Province
interdicting and eliminating roadside explosive threats on over one
thousand miles of Iraqi roads.
- Spearheaded large main effort assault at Joint Readiness Training center
through long range patrols and raids.
