Flame Propagation/Burnthrough Special Project (Everett Interiors Project

Leader)

Project Lead the Burnthrough Special Project for Everett Interiors. Flame

Propagation & Burnthrough are FAA (Federal Aviation Administration)

flammability compliance requirements. The primary intentions of these FAA

compliance requirements are to enhance safety by reducing the incidence and

severity of cabin fires. Responsibilities included leading the efforts on

this project to ensure company compliance of this FAA requirement. Lead

schedule, cost, weight, method of compliance (for unique configurations)

and risk management efforts for the Burnthrough project. Track record of

exceeding and far exceeding expectations.

Methods of Compliance (Everett Interiors Focal)

FAA required documentation of methods of compliance used to meet

flammability standards for delegated organizations. Served as Everett

Interiors Focal & worked with the MOC core implementation team. Maintained

an understanding of the changes between the current & newly negotiated

methods of compliance (MOCs) and their impact to design groups,

communicated this information to all of Interiors, and ensured the

completion of the required training among the organization. Received $1000

in a cash reward in recognition.

Dual Lock Project (Project Co-Lead)

3M discontinued BFR containing Dual Lock products. Coordinated with fellow

design engineers to determine possible methods of re-engineering of

designs. Worked with materials and process technology to determine

replacement material options, and worked with 3M procurement agents to

determine the quantity of current materials available in order to maintain

current production. Project was successful and there was no impact to

current production with the implementation of the necessary changes. Track

record of exceeding expectations.
