I was born in Prague, the Czech Republic, and came to the United stated at
the age of 17 to play tennis on the developmental junior circuit while
continuing my education. I lived with a sponsor during this time, and
believe that my strong work ethic and self-resilience was born from this
experience. When I arrived, I was alone and barely able to communicate, but
I had a strong desire to succeed. I completed my high school education,
mastered the English language, and continued to develop as a tennis
professional.
From 1996 to 2000. I was a member of the CSUB tennis team and achieved my
Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration/ Marketing. I also
continued on in 2001 as an assistant coach and completed my MBA in business
administration in just a year and a half. During my time on the team, I was
an All-American for four years in singles and double and received numerous
awards and accolades.
I also completed one year as a sales and marketing intern for the CSUB
athletic department. This is where I discovered my true passion for sales,
marketing, public relations, and engaging the public and private sectors of
business. I was a team representative for top manufacturers like Prince,
Wilson, Head and others. Of course, working for these particular companies
gave me invaluable experience in sales, marketing, public relations,
fundraising, management, and coaching.
During my final year of school, I also began working as the Director of
Tennis for Laurel Glen Tennis Club, managing the overall day-to-day
business and all other aspects of health club organization. I took this
position with the full understanding that, I would pursue a chance to use
my advanced degree if an opportunity were available. After being recruited
to Calcot, Ltd., I spent a year working with the sales and marketing teams.
Due to budget cuts my position was eliminated and enabled me to pursue my
true passion, the pharmaceutical industry. I chose Reliant Pharmaceutical
because of the comfort level with the products and people. I have been
using this time to start my database of doctors and to also increase sales
across the board on all my product line. Being foreign born has also
helped. With the large number of doctors in US who are also foreign born my
ability to develop a relationship is evident in my relationships I have
developed. I found an experience in primary care.
GlaxoSmithKline and Johnson and Johnson has broadened my horizon and gave
me the experience, which allowed me to have a corporate experience and
enhance my ability to further my career in the pharmaceutical industry.
From my previous experience, I have built solid relationships with primary
care physicians, mid levels and specialists. With my experience I believe I
can provide immediate contribution in every territory.
