To whom it may concern:
I am currently serving in the United States Air Force and will separate on
the 15th of November, 2010. I am stationed at Lackland AFB, San Antonio,
Texas, but will be moving back to Tennessee. However, the military does
provide some relocation benefits. I am interested in speaking with
potential employers about positions in Network Engineering, or another
position that would utilize the skills I have learned in pursuit of my
Computer Science degree.
For the last 5+ years I have been working in the field of computer
networking. I have experience with a range of technologies to include
Cisco routing and switching, Cisco and Aruba Wireless technologies, Wide
Area Networking (WAN), numerous cryptographic devices, and limited
experience with Cisco Voice over IP. This experience has not come from a
small network environment. Military experience almost always provides
experience working with thousands of customers, sometimes in hostile
situations. At times I have supported over 6 thousand users, and have also
worked in the pressure situations of a deployed environment while deployed
to Baghdad International Airport, Iraq.
I will be graduating with a B.S. in Computer Science before my start date,
and already have an A.S. in Computer Science and an A.A.S. in Electronic
Systems Technology. I am a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), and
also hold the CompTIA Network+ and Security+ certifications. In addition
to these certifications, I will be testing for my CCNA Wireless in early
May, and plan on obtaining the CCNA Voice before my separation date.
I would prefer to work in either the Nashville or Memphis, Tennessee,
areas; however, I am open to any opportunities that may present themselves.
You can contact me via the email address listed above, or my cell phone
number, which is also listed above. I look forward to hearing from you in
the future.
Sincerely,
ROBERT B. WELLS, SSgt, USAF
