Project Manager for the $1.5 billion Wolverine Power Clean Energy Venture
electric generating project in Rogers City, Michigan. Designed and prepared
site plan approved by the Presque Isle County Planning Commission and the
City Council of Rogers City.
Project Engineer for the $25 million Hartman Hammond Connector highway
project. Provided highway and pedestrian way design, stormwater design,
regulatory and permit coordination, budget management, CAD design and
supervision, and client interaction with the Grand Traverse County Road
Commission.
Managing Consultant of a $15 million multi-use development in Benzonia,
Michigan. Organized current scope of work to generate financial strategies,
community planning, preliminary engineering and permit applications.
Project Manager for $3 million of the Betsie Valley Trailway. Provided
planning, engineering, construction management, and trail management of
Benzie County's recreational jewel that connects five trailheads, a city,
three villages, three lakes and a river.

Recruited by the president to direct civil engineering work company-wide and
manage Traverse City location activities. Managed projects in the northern
and western regions of Michigan. Provided guidance for operations, sales,
marketing, strategic planning, human resources and IT.
Key Results:
Provided coordination and planning for the Elberta Segment of the Betsie
Valley Trailway. Worked directly with company landscape architects, trail
and government officials, and other stakeholders to create a workable plan
for park and trail improvements through complex easement areas.

Provided project management which included planning, design, construction
management and contract administration for the 12-mile Thompsonville Segment
of the Betsie Valley Trailway. The project involved interaction with six
governmental jurisdictions, placement of a significant trailhead, and solving
complex drainage issues.
Acted as project manager and provided onsite wastewater, stormwater and site
engineering for a $3.5 million hotel complex. Paved the way for on-time
completion of the project by fast-tracking plans and specifications.
Worked as project manager and engineer for a 200-foot long recreational
bridge for the Michigan Department of Natural Resources located in the
Manistee National Forest Park near Wellston, Michigan.
Managed three parallel residential subdivision projects totaling $5.3
million.

biosolids management projects primarily in the cities of Detroit, Toledo and
Chicago. Initial responsibilities included contacting new municipal clients
and processing contract documents. Other responsibilities included record
keeping, meetings with other contractors and interpretation of contract
drawings and specifications.
Key Results:
Provided cost estimating, specifications and contract administration for $3.6
million in biosolids management construction work.
Benzie County, Beulah, MI 2007 - 2009
ZONING ADMINISTRATOR / DEPUTY DRAIN COMMISSIONER
Appointed as Zoning Administrator to issue zoning permits, act as staff for
planning and zoning commissions, write and enforce zoning codes for nine
Townships and two Villages. Dual role also included responsibilities as
Deputy Drain Commissioner to act as technical staff for the Drain
Commissioner, coordinate county drain facilities, issue permits, assist with
dam operations, and enforce the drain code for the entire County.

Zoning Administrator
Reviewed applications and issued all permits involving zoning, special land
use and zoning appeals. Monitored construction work to ensure compliance
with approved construction documents.
Established and implemented rehabilitation of the outdated County zoning
ordinance, including authoring the Zoning Ordinance Management Plan and
ensuring compliance with State law.

Directed engineering team to successfully obtain a special land use permit
for the Wolverine Power Cooperative Clean Energy Venture, a 600 megawatt,
coal-fired power plant in Rogers City, Michigan. The project included
development of 400 acres of land, an industrial waste landfill and
operational coordination with limestone quarry mining activities.
Optimized management of projects in Otsego and Benzie Counties by providing
design, design supervision, budget monitoring, permit coordination, contract
administration and client interaction at all levels for the following
projects: a $6.2 million mixed-use development including bike trails and
recreational facilities; and a $4 million residential subdivision including
trails for access to golfing activities.
Refocused ISO 9000 regulation commitments resulting in a successful year 2006
audit.

PROJECT ENGINEER
Selected by the CEO to direct and expand the company's Transportation
engineering sector. Functioned as lead engineer on project teams for various
complex transportation projects for new and existing clients. Developed and

Acted as Project Engineer for the Betsie River Segment of the Betsie Valley
Trailway. The project included planning, design and construction of one new

Worked as project engineer for the Hartman Hammond $25 Million road/bridge
project in Traverse City, Michigan. Some of the specific design challenges
included inclusion of complex trail and pedestrian access, road curvature to
accommodate existing structures, and a significant wetland mitigation
package. Coordinated with State and Federal agencies to ensure compliance
with necessary requirements.
