1. AGS Associates Inc. (Geotechnical and Environmental Consultant, TO, ON) May 10 to Present
Quality Control Manager
Responsibilities:
• Performed various quality control and development work inspections (City of Toronto works) and sampling of asphalt, concrete and their reporting.
• Review of mix design reports as per specification of contract issued by city of Toronto, conforming type of structure, required strength at 28 days, slump value, air entrainment, water - cement ratio, environment condition etc.
• Involved in inspection, assessment of existing RCC structures for erection / installation of heavy equipment / machines by establishing strength of old structure by coring and testing.
• Involved in investigation / review of concrete test reports in line with specifications and codes, type of fracture and strength achieved at varied curing period including high or low slump and air mix impact.
• Liaise with clients (Project Engineers and Field staff) & contractors; respond their inquiries by ensuring the matters are dealt discreetly.
• Supervising team of Technologist and Technicians, allocating daily assignments, technical field support, mentoring their assignments in timely completion.
• Supervised team for Quality Assurance of Expanded asphalt roads, compaction of Granular material and Asphalt (HL-1, HL-3, HL-8 & SP) using nuclear gauge in comparison with MRD value from lab results, making reports and results for onward submission to North York Region.
• Inspections of existing and new roadways in North York Region, detail investigation for cause of failure, coring of existing roads / street, identification of type of material used, asphalt contents, ratio of fine and coarse aggregates.
• Conducted and supervised City of Toronto project for identification of old street pavement containing asbestos contents either in base coarse or top coarse, including layer thicknesses, chemical analysis, type of mix (HL-1, HL-3, HL-8 & SP).
• Close liaises with City and Region Departments for site permits from external and internal agencies.
• Field inspection of deep and shallow foundations, rebars and footing, and supervision of mass concrete pouring and quality management. Supervised Layouts and pier drilling operation with soil data record.
• Supervised concrete testing laboratory in line with the standards & specification set by CCIL, also involved in yearly recertification of concrete laboratory from CCIL (Canadian Council of Certified Laboratories).

Worked with Pakistan State Oil Co Ltd. With large infrastructure having 3800 gas stations, 23 bulk oil storage depots and 9 Installations all over the country.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare Project feasibility, cost estimate for Capital & Revenue budget proposals.
• Involved in Engineering Design, preparation of Specifications, bill of quantities, tender documents, bid evaluation and negotiation, verification of measurements, payment certificates.
• Project Management, project scheduling, monitoring and supervising construction activities at site.
• Provided technical support to the field staff in resolving issues at site in coordination with consultant and contractor. Complete the project with in stipulated time with cost effectiveness.
