. Rework of existing Oil/Gas compressor units & backup turbine generator
systems - Iraq
o Achieved a reduction in budget of more than 6% at each location
by utilizing a global parts/service firm to provide bulk parts
in onsite containers which are relocated from site to site and
utilizing a parts draw-down method.
. Complete Design, Procurement, and Construction of two GE Frame-9 x
100MW units at the Al-Qudas Power Station north of Baghdad.
o Reduced transportation cost of more than 15% by using the US
Dept of State to obtain cross-country shipping approvals from
the Syrian Government.
o Reduced process & piping cost by 10% by re-working existing
water treatment and bulk-oil treatment skids.
. Complete construction management and design review of new Amine Unit,
Tail-Gas Treatment, and Sulfur Recovery units at Sunoco Refining in
Oregon, Ohio.
o Reduced total design cost by reducing FEED, P&ID's and PFD
design by utilizing our own in-house design capabilities prior
to releasing contracts.
o Reduced total project cost from estimated $780million to less
than $550million by modifying existing crude unit #3, existing
Coker unit, and contracting demolition of old plant #9 to a
Cleveland firm for zero-owner cost in exchange for salvaged
steel materials.
. Total EPC of a new 1600MW Phase-I Power Station in Surabaya Indonesia.
o Constructed welding/pipe shops onsite thereby reducing shop
fabrication by 8%.
o Utilized direct-hire method for skilled labor force of over 1300
reducing subcontracting cost by more than 10%.
