merchandisers/truckers and so forth. Filed all required tax forms and

initiated money transfers for taxes and payrolls. Prepared union reports

for medical insurance and union dues and mailed billings, etc. to

Teamsters Union. Early on, received training on Infinium Software used in

Took 6 months off to be with ailing mother (2/98 to 8/98). Brought her

Corporate and Airline Pilots' Payrolls. Hired and trained payroll staff

and maintained compliance with policies and procedures; developed and

updated same and trained staff as needed. Courteous - and much sought

after - 'resident expert' on all payrolls and related matters.

While managing/supervising payroll duties, acted as systems liaison with

ADP Reps, and performed troubleshooting - which included issues requiring

help from the legal department. During the first 5 years, also managed

the company-wide Payroll Tax function and developed procedures for timely

filings which included all FICA, State, SUI, FUTA, and City payroll taxes

- at the Federal, State and Local levels - for all 50 States and the U.S.

protectorates of Puerto Rico, Saipan and Guam.

Also worked hands-on developing and implementing 3 different payroll

conversions and was involved in all aspects of 4th conversion process -

which consolidated all DHL payrolls to Corporate Headquarters in Redwood

City. During the final consolidation, interviewed 40 applicants - for

technical competence and culture fit; and was very influential in final

selection of 20 clerks and 2 payroll managers/supervisors. As direct

result, there was smooth transition on the conversion, and most payroll

people stayed with the company for several years after I left - very

little turnover.

Further, whenever any of the supervisors/managers had problems with their

people, I was happy to oblige by providing one of my trained clerks and

taking on the task of re-training the new people to perform their jobs in

my department. Many were happy working with me, and I had very little

turnover as a result. Also, as new positions became available in my

department, there were many applicants who came from other departments

because they were anxious to work for me.

During the last few years at DHL, worked on - and set up - the Pilots

Payroll System to comply with all the items as outlined in the newest

Union Contract with the Pilots. This included setting-up 6 rates per

pilot in about 20 different classifications. Also established, and

maintained, procedures for United Way. Further, was the main contact

person for the Company's U.S. Federal Credit Union.
