Assigned to work at Dell Computer for the disk drive division of
Samsung. Disk drive support is also an extension for Samsung's R&D facility
in Korea for root failure analysis. Monitor assembly production for six
sigma improvement. Provide weekly training classes on proper handling
techniques of electronic equipment to new employees and repair technicians.
System Administrator for IT at Fort Campbell, KY. 8-2004 / 12-2004
This is a team project to bring all servers to 2003 on a Dell
platform. Up-grade
all computers ( 13,000+ ) to virus free Windows XP. Manage image center
with 18 employees to reload 27 different computer brands of hardware with
a single image of XP. Assist with a startup helpdesk team to assure
customer satisfaction.

Dell Account Team
Hitachi acquired the disk storage division from IBM in 2003 resulting in a
restructure of the company and termination of my position. Factory
engineering quality support to Dell Computer buying IBM disk Drives IDE and
SCSI, LCD panels and memory. Disk drive support is also an extension for
IBM's R&D facility in Japan for root failure analysis. Monitor assembly
production for six sigma improvement. Provide weekly training classes on
proper handling techniques of electronic equipment to new employees and
repair technicians. Prior to the Dell team I was working in a 3000 person
call center for IBM's Unix group.
IBM National Technical Support Nashville/Memphis 11-1995 /
06-1999
UNIX software support for the Motorola project acquired by IBM. Supported
large national account IT professionals and system administrators with
software and hardware problems using Motorola's AT&T UNIX and IBM's AIX
UNIX. I am one of two people selected for this position as a remote
technician. As a remote technician, I was used as the go to guy when
problems escalated to critical levels and had to be resolved. Provide first
and second level network phone support, analysis and troubleshooting
assistance to sales and personnel and satellite network offices.
This position requires a BS + 5-7 years experience.
Motorola Computer Group, Nashville, TN 1983-1995
National Tech Support
Three years at a tech support position in a 45 man call center. One year as
a district tech support covering TN, AL and MS. Full product support for
Four Phase Systems and all
Motorola UNIX equipment. System administrator for the Nashville office
which included installs, upgrades and system backups. Hardware included all
network devices such as X terminals, CSU/DSU devices, DAT drives to 9-track
tapes. Most all devices were SCSI technology. Major account coordinator for
a 3 state region. Repaired equipment down to the component level, from
modems, multiplexer, printers, to disk drive head replacement.

Certifications
MCSE MCSA A+ N+ MCP
Received a patent for a tool used to properly remove connectors from disk
drives on lap top computers on Dell Computer assembly line. I received
a field technology award for 2002 because of this patent. Estimated
savings placed at one million dollars per year of use.
Worked with a team at Ft. Campbell to develop a SINGLE Windows XP
image
That will work on any hardware platform.
Developed and taught a Y2K readiness course for IBM RISC 6000 systems
in both Atlanta and Chicago in spring of 1999, resulting in a
successful Y2K conversion. Provided tier 2 level support for 35-member
tech support team.
Developed a UNIX disaster recovery plan for the State of Tennessee,
which was implemented nationwide. Created bootable backup structure
three years ahead of IBM and twelve years ahead of ghost imaging.
Migrated state offices from proprietary database to a Unix platform.
Project manager to Motorola's VME second response team for the 7
southeastern states. In charge of five offices, twelve employees and
two million dollars of inventory.
Stable work history. I worked for Motorola and IBM for the past 20
years. After working with Microsoft products for the past 10 years, I
went back to school to acquire my MCSE MCSA and DBA certifications.
