UNITED STATES ARMY

prepared and executed flawless deployment under high-threat condition,
resulting in safe movement of over 500 soldiers and 50 tons of equipment
and material from Germany to Saudi Arabia. Executed battalion fleet-
rebuilding program, resulting in rebuilding, refurbishment and replacement
of 300 vehicles and equipment. Directed driver team, which shuttled 167
wheeled vehicles to seven locations in Germany, logging over 80,000
accident-free miles. Served as project lead to assemble and submit
proposals to compete for millions of NATO dollars to upgrade facilities and
enhance maintenance effectiveness and rapid deployment.
Battery Commander, Ansbach, Germany, 2000-2001. Led liaison team to
coordinate battalion movement through German Panzer division during Corps
tactical exercise. Prepared battery for NATO Tactical Evaluation, which
led battery to earn awards for best tactical site and best field mess
facility in battalion. Ensured battery maintained crew certifications in
accordance with U.S. Army, Europe, requirements to include four fire
control crews, eight launcher crews and two missile-reload crews. Chosen
to lead battery on joint training exercise with the Israeli military.
Motivated soldiers to qualify on individual and crew-served weapons, with
53% expert rate and drove battery to average score of 264 out of 300 on
Army Physical Fitness Test. Implemented intensive maintenance program,
which won U.S. Army, Europe, Army Award for Maintenance Excellence in the
Light Category. Maintained 99% missile readiness rate and 97% conventional
maintenance readiness rate.
Assistant Brigade Operations Officer, Giebelstadt, Germany, 1998-1999.
Wrote operations orders for contingency missions. Planned and coordinated
field exercises for two battalions. Responsible for operation of Brigade
Tactical Operations Center. Contributed to direction of programs involving
force modernization, NATO tactical evaluations, Corps-level war-fighter

firing batteries.
Battery Executive Officer, Fort Lewis, Washington, 1996-1997. Advised
Battery Commander in all areas of command to include health, safety,
welfare and morale of 65 soldiers and families, as well as ensuring
operational readiness of system and conventional equipment worth
$70,000,000. Orchestrated safe movement of battery personnel and equipment
and by sea, land and rail from Fort Lewis to Fort Bliss with 100%
accountability. Planned and executed M9 pistol training and certification
range, certifying Battalion and Battery Commanders as well as senior Non-
Commissioned Officers.
Fire-Control Platoon Leader, 1995-1996. Responsible for accountability and
maintenance of five vehicles and system equipment valued at over
$20,000,000. Accountable for protection of friendly aircraft as well as
identification and engagement of enemy targets in accordance with
applicable doctrine. Trained five fire control crews in preparation for
deployment to Southwest Asia. Served as Convoy Commander in moving battery
safely over 190 kilometers through Saudi Arabian desert and reaching
minimum engagement within 30 minutes after arrival at new tactical
location. Served as Communications Security Officer, creating program to
ensure proper safekeeping and destruction of classified material.
Maintenance Platoon Leader, 1995. Accountable for safety, health and
welfare of 16 soldiers and families. Served as Reconnaissance Officer,
responsible for selection and occupation of tactical positions. Acted as
Tactical Control Officer, responsible for tactical and technical training
of crew on protection of friendly aircraft, as well as identification and
engagement of enemy targets. Responsible for battery's outstanding success
in environmental compliance, creating and implementing environmental
compliance program, which passed EPA inspections. Planned and executed M16
rifle training and certification, as well as hand-grenade range, certifying
Battery soldiers and ROTC Cadets.
