Community Involvement
First Steps Volunteer for Bartow County
The First Steps program is a division of Advocates for Children. As a volunteer, we
go into the hospital to visit the mom's and their new born babies. We explain what
the First Steps Program is and offers, we establish a relationship with the mother
and family, and keep in contact with them for 90 days. We direct them and help them
with questions and concerns, and hold monthly activities for the mothers and
children to connect with each other.
