Client Advocate; Abstinence Educator; Receptionist
Billings, MT
Care Net Pregnancy Center and Care Net Women's Clinic January 2003-
June 2006
I worked with Care Net Pregnancy Center in a variety of roles including
Receptionist, Client Advocate, and Abstinence Teacher in area schools. When
the Pregnancy Center decided to expand and create the Women's Clinic that
would provide the option of an ultrasound to clients, I was on the team
that prepared the building and the volunteer staff to meet client needs.
The Women's Clinic began in 2005, and I helped with various aspects of
setting it up. We needed to get all documents in order, create
administrative systems, and recruit and train Client Advocates. I served as
the primary Client Advocate to meet with the women or couples who came in,
offering pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, and a safe space to talk about their
life. I worked to continuously train volunteers and provide support for
them.
As an administrative assistant at the Pregnancy Center, I collaborated with
the Executive Director to organize and implement fundraisers and program
development. I worked with billing, QuickBooks, and donation tracking.
