About Client/Project:
GEE (GE Energy) started the strategic initiative to build a Business Intelligence Center of Excellence that would cater to the
BI requirements of various business entities within GEE. This involves outsourcing the strategy, process methodology,
design, development, coding, testing, integration, deployment and support of the Enterprise Data Warehouse on an onsite
offshore model.
The applications, systems, and infrastructures are located primarily in Atlanta and Schenectady while there are various other
instances present across the globe. This will allow GE to deliver of Enterprise Data Warehousing Solution to a large user
community within GEE.
General Electric Power Systems (GEPS) Enterprise Data warehouse is one of the largest data warehousing projects in the
world currently in progress. The objective of the project is to build an Enterprise wide Data warehouse Solution for GEPS,

which consists of Design, Development, Coding, Testing, Integration, Deployment and Maintenance of the Enterprise Data
Warehouse and also to coordinate their various sources of information for better decision making.
The primary objective includes providing enterprise wide data warehousing solutions for top level executives and to a large
extent for operational users also. This will allow GEPS Management to continue to analyze the organized data. GE Power
Systems Data Warehouse is built upon integrated legacy system data feeds received from many GE based business data
sources. This process involved creation of various individual data marts and merging those data marts for final digital
cockpits.
The applications, systems, and infrastructure are located in Atlanta, Schenectady, and Cincinnati. This will allow GE EDW to
free internal GE resources from their current assignments and reassign them to new projects aimed at the coordination and
delivery of this Enterprise Data Warehousing Solution to a large user community within GEPS. This enterprise Data
Warehouse project consists of around 213 data marts. GEPS EDW Data warehouse project is also the proud winner of the
prestigious Data warehousing Institutes prestigious Award “Best Practices in Data warehousing” for the year June 2002

• Creating groups and migrating all 5.1 universes and Reports to 6.5.1 repository. Adding users to repository,
Categories, BO Connections and Security group as part of Maintaining Business Objects Repository.

Advanced Materials, GE Commercial Finance, GE Healthcare, GE Infrastructure, GE Transportation, NBC Universal to
name a few. The project known as COG HR contains all the information of the GE Employee’s including their salary and
compensation details. They have a centralized database for this, known as Oracle Human resource (OHR).

other instances present across the globe. This will allow GE to deliver of Enterprise Data Warehousing Solution to a large
user community within GEE.
Has been engaged with GE Corporate since last 4 years (client location) and is currently supporting Business Objects
XIR3.1. He has hands on experience in setting up a new XI environment which includes installation, IIS Tomcat Bridge,
