Lee Academy Dorm Supervisor (Aug 08 June 10)

*Watch out for the overall safety of the students in the dorms, plan daily and weekend events so

that kids could have different activities to choose from and attend. Handle medical paperwork for

each student. Supervise mandatory 2 hour study hall in the dorm, act as a role model to students.

The dorm (Weymouth Hall) consisted of over 50 students of different ages, races, and beliefs.

*As an intern some of the tasks included meeting and greeting individuals, scheduling events,

*Help maintain an organized and peaceful setting within the dorms. Serve as a mentor to peers at

the college. Plan different activities and raise community awareness to certain issues and topics.

Organize events like intramurals, talent shows, alcohol and sexually transmitted disease

conferences, blood drives and much more. Also make sure to report any personal incidents,

fighting, drinking or smoking violations to the Dean of Students and school President.

*Working while a student at College of Saint Joseph’s within the working hours I was taught how

sports and business go hand and hand. I would place orders for equipment, plan hotel and

transportation methods for the different teams, also evaluate the progress of work study students.

Hand out checks to workers and meal money for road trips.
