attorneys in the Legal Department.
PROFILE
Provides professional, effective and efficient public service
assistance to the general public.
Assist the public and office personnel in processing documents,
retrieving original files and obtaining copies; maintains files
and records, including entry of data into computer records.
Assists Legal Attorneys with preparation of legal documents
including affidavits, motions, dismissals, releases, statements,
and court documents assigned.
Screen and direct calls and visitors, as appropriate; answer
questions and provide information to the public, refer complaints
and questions to appropriate department staff for resolution.
Prepare, review and make appropriate distributions of
memorandums, correspondence, reports, forms and other documents
as assigned.
Complete research and analysis of law sources, including but not
limited to statues, judicial decisions and ordinances.
Gather and submit information regarding claims made against
client, work with title insurance companies, risk management
personnel and other departments as necessary to collect and
process information; and maintain files.
Perform office functions including making photocopies and fax
transmissions, mailing correspondence and other documents.
Strong communication skills and organizational abilities. Very
flexible when it comes to adapting to changes. Very intuitive
when difficult or contentious issues are encountered. Can type
60-75 words per minute.
