Below are the projects in which I worked from Jan 2007 to Feb 2010.
Project: MPR Letter - Merchant Pricing Review Letter
Client: American Express
Duration: Feb 2007 - Jan 2008
Technology Used: COBOL, DB2, JCL, INFOMAN and CHANGEMAN.
Project Detail: This project will centralize the letter generation
processes into the MPR platform. MPR will apply revised business rules
against letter data records to validate and determine if the records
should be rejected. Rejected MPR letters will be sent back to the MPR
platform to be worked by the Pricing team. If the rates are corrected
and then released, the letter will be re-routed to be mailed to the
Letter SE. MPR will send valid letter files to a 3rd party vendor who
will generate and mail the letters globally to MPR Merchants.
A MPR Letter notifies the Merchant that their
pricing structure will be adjusted. The 'Down Letters' indicates that
the Merchant's discount rate will decrease. An 'Up Letter' indicates
that the Merchant's discount rate will increase. A 'Mixed Letter' is sent
to those accounts that have some rates up and some rates down.
The project will provide the opportunity to decommission the letter
process generated out of BROC.
Business Benefits:
. Provide consistent letter generation integrity and controls across
all regions and
industries
. Compliance with AET Application Standards by replacing Business T
functionality
. Provide complete reporting details
. Demand Management opportunity (manual work by Technologies and
Pricing team)
In addition, this project will address a Change Request that was opened
to deal with the display of blended rates on Genesis On-line
Transactions, Genesis Reports and MPR.
Role in Project: Designer and Developer as Team Member.

Project: SEDEROG
Client: American Express
Duration: September2009 - February 2010
Technology Used: COBOL, DB2, JCL, INFOMAN and CHANGEMAN.
Project Detail: Currently there exist no derogatory or fraud checks
being performed on the merchant Setup process. This poses a risk to
American Express as any prior merchant who have been Cancelled with a
derogatory reason could easily be accepted and setup once again. If this
occurs, there could be a potential decline of revenue for American
Express due to fraud losses.
Hence this project was introduced to have a new Risk Management system in
Genesis that would filter out applying merchants and perform the
following segment checks:
1. SE Derogatory Check
2. Fraud Check
