1. Responsibilities: Generalist with overall day-to-day responsibilities supporting the activities of two facilities. One a unionized (UAW), 3-shift manufacturing operation in Delaware, OH. The other a union-free, manufacturing facility in Kenosha, WI and 13 distribution centers. Fully responsible for the development and implementation of a selection and hiring process to fill over 50 unionized jobs left open as a result of early retirements, new business and open positions. Also responsible for benefit administration, industrial relations to include grievance resolution, mediation, arbitration and contract negotiations and EEOC complaint investigation and administration.
1. Achievements: Successfully added more than 50 new hires into the operation with minimal disruption to day-to-day activities. 1. Achievements: Reduced Workers’ Compensation cost from 1.3M to less than $550K. Successfully negotiation a 3-year Labor Agreement. Established an attendance tracking program which helped reduced Absenteeism rate from 2.8% in 2003 to 1.6% in 2005.
