Objective
I am seeking full-time employment with a company where I can utilize the
skills I have learned through various coursework and professional work
experience. Positions I am interested in include an entry-level geologist
(or scientist) in the petroleum industry, an environmental geologist, or a
research technician in a geologic laboratory. I look forward to expanding
my current knowledge base through on-the-job experience.

. Relevant Course Experience: Physical Geology, Field Methods,
Structural Geology, Mineralogy, Petrography, Igneous and
Metamorphic Petrology, Stratigraphy, Geophysics, Paleobiology,
Atmospheric Science, Global Climate Change, Earthquakes, Organic
Chemistry.
. Projects: Mapped the primary and secondary structures of
Persimmon Gap, Boquillas Canyon, and Santa Elena Canyon along
the Chisos Mountains in Big Bend National Park, the Ardmore
Basin in Ardmore, OK, and the Edwards Plateau near Kerrville,
TX.
. Lab Experience: Geology Laboratory - Five university semesters
(two and a half years) in a Geology laboratory, explored hand
samples of rocks and core specimens, used Reflected and
Transmitted Polarized Light Microscopy to analyze thin sections
for mineral identification, crystallographic properties,
environment of deposition, and phase equilibrium and kinetics.
Use of x-ray diffraction and IF Spectroscopy.
. Chemistry Laboratory - Four university semesters (two years)
in a Chemistry laboratory, used basic laboratory procedures
and equipment, to perform reduction and oxidation of organic
compounds, acidity and basicity, substitution of chemicals,
catalysis's, hydrolysis, distillation, recrystallization and
chromatography experiments.

and 3D seismic data.
