Modernization (BCTM) 5/2010 to Present. Requirements Lead and Test and Verification Subject
Matter Expert for Manpower and Personnel Integration (MANPRINT) Team on Brigade Combat Team
Modernization Program. Represent Boeing MANPRINT Team to Verification, Requirements, Test, and
Training communities both internal to Boeing/Prime and with our Army customers. Provide oversight for
planning and developing a verification strategy in assessing compliance to MANPRINT/Human Factors
System of Systems requirements. Conduct usability studies and anthropometric measurements on
Soldiers employing platforms under development. Act as customer point of contact for MANPRINT test
and requirement verification activities. Collaborate with the Test, Training, Requirements, and
Verification communities to ensure proper and timely verification of MANPRINT System of Systems
requirements. Perform independent requirement scope analysis and interpret results to provide

Systems Engineer/Human Systems Integration/Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS)/Ground Mobile
Radio (GMR) 10/2009 to 5/2010. Primary point of contact for all Human Factors/Human Systems
Integration (HSI) activities on the Joint Tactical Radio System/Ground Mobile Radio Program.
Represented Boeing in the Manpower and Personnel Integration (MANPRINT) Working Group,
interfaced with government counterparts, resolved Human Factors/HSI actions and reviewed program
documentation for Human Factors/HSI content. Recommended improvements to the Human Machine
Interface on the JTRS/GMR. Participated in usability studies on the Portable Control Display
Device/GMR with both Soldiers and Marines. Provided oversight of human interface testing to verify
and validate that the GMR meets design requirements in coordination with our partners, Rockwell
Collins, BAE, and Northrop Grumman. Provided verification by analysis reports and supported test,
demonstration, and inspection events for Systems Engineering and Human Factors/HSI related
requirements. Tracked requirements in DOORS database. Received a Pride@Boeing Award for
outstanding work on critical alerts to the operator on the JTRS/GMR Program and a Pride@Boeing
Award from Future Combat Systems in support of technical field testing for the soldier machine interface
at White Sands Missile Range.
Systems Engineer/Mission Assurance/Secure Border Initiative Network (SBInet) 4/2007 to 10/2009.
Data acquisition lead on Mission Analysis and Assessment. Acquired law enforcement sensitive data for
modeling and simulation analyses of sensor deployment and for evaluating threat migration patterns from
the border. Evaluated external customer’s operational needs by interviewing Border Patrol (BP) Agents
to understand each station's standard operating procedures. Constructed questionnaires to assess illegal
alien behavior and border crossing trends, BP Agent activities, adversarial tactics, and geospatial areas
unique to each BP station’s area of responsibility. Provided oversight of field visits with Department of
Homeland Security and Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and participated in data gathering at the
BP stations and Ports of Entry. Developed intruder routes, threat behavior, and Blue Force/Agent
CONOPS. Generated processes to facilitate communication, collaboration, and exchange of data with
external and internal customers. Represented Mission Assurance Engineering in our working relationship
with the Boeing design team in Huntsville, AL and with CBP. Trained in Simulation Modeling for System
Design and Analysis and in RAMPART Analysis. Received three Pride@Boeing Awards for outstanding
work on the SBInet Program.
Systems Engineer/C-17 System Safety Engineer 10/2006 to 4/2007. Analyzed, researched, and
documented system safety processes and procedures for C-17 aircraft defensive systems, structures, and
support equipment in accordance with MIL-STD-882a and MIL-STD-1472. Performed system hazard
analyses, subsystem hazard analyses, and operating and support hazard analyses on the C-17 aircraft.
Represented system safety at technical meetings between Boeing and the Air Force (AF) offering system
safety findings and recommendations. Presented technical system safety findings on the Large Aircraft
Infrared Countermeasure (LAIRCM) missile warning system at milestone meetings conducted with the
AF. Received a Pride@Boeing Award for outstanding work contributing to the LAIRCM project.
Systems Engineer/Human Systems Integration/Phantom Works 1/2005 to 10/2006. Researched and
developed concepts related to the Directed Aircraft (DA) project which included flight time limitations
and rest requirements, extended flight time, circadian rhythms and pilot fatigue, flight crew resource
management, and pilot health monitoring. Wrote technical document in which functional requirements
related to flight crew resource management were identified and defined for the technology team of the
DA project. Researched aircraft system and cockpit design and complexity in order to reduce pilot
workload and increase situational awareness. Presented with a Pride@Boeing Accomplishment Award for
outstanding performance on the Crew Workload Optimization Study in support of the DA project.
Systems Engineer/Human Systems Integration/Phantom Works 1/2003 to 12/2004. Technical lead on
a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) award studying the use of wireless video
imagery in an aircraft maintenance environment. Involved in all aspects from candidate site selection,
system design, and performance measurement to conducting cost/benefit and summary analyses, and
writing technical documents. Produced a final wireless (802.11b) configuration enabling real-time video
streaming between two collaborative sites. Demonstrated this product at the Boeing Aerospace Support
Center in San Antonio, TX for the KC-135 program.
Systems Engineer/Human Systems Integration/Phantom Works 10/2001 to 12/2002. As a researcher
for a joint project with the University of Southern California (USC) and NASA, designed and
implemented an experimental study assessing augmented reality for space flight employing the USC
Feature Tracker, a software package developed by USC to overlay annotations on video imagery.
Produced videos of a psychomotor task to measure learning and task performance in four treatment
conditions. Recruited participants and coordinated their testing in a between-subjects experimental
design. Gathered and statistically analyzed data. Wrote a technical report of the findings for USC and
NASA. Presented with a Pride@Boeing Appreciation Award for outstanding work on a NASA project.
Systems Engineer/Human Systems Integration/Phantom Works 6/2001 to 10/2001. Conducted
anthropometric and strength measurements on C-17 aircraft production mechanics. Designed the protocol
and carried out this research in order to reduce work related injuries. Recruited mechanics through
informal presentations and telephone interviews. Measured body size and shape, as well as the static
strength of isolated muscle groups. Involved in the statistical analysis and presentation of research data.
Conducted an assessment and recommendation of ergonomic work chairs for the C-17 aircraft shop floor.
Identified ergonomic and safety problems and resolutions for C-17 mechanics.
