PROJECTS:

a. Web Content Management

Description: The tool used is the Interwoven TeamSite. I have

created a workflow wherein our users can create a task have it

reviewed by their team and have it approved/rejected by all the

group members and the task/job will be completed only when all

the group members approve it. This job deploys the files from

the source location from our client area to the server in the

support facility which is a UNIX server.

b. Web Activity Reporting

Description: We use the tool called WebTrends for web activity

reporting. WebTrends capture all the information regarding the

page views, hits etc from the daily log files and report it for

our users. I have written PERL scripts to identify the log files

and parse them to remove the unwanted records and send it to

webtrends which will reduce the number of page views and thus

save money to the company because only 500 million page views

per year are allowed according to the webtrends license. And

then I have created a cron job so that these reformatted log

files run everyday. Finally the reports will be stored in a

storage area network.

c. Web Development

Description: I have been sent to our client location for a

special project by my Manager. This project lasted around 2

Our professor asked us not to use any kind of IDE's such as a
