The experiences I have had through my education and employment have
made me very versatile in the medical field. I worked in a pain management
clinic for my x-ray internship. My medical assisting internship I worked in
an internal medicine office. I have experience with family practice and
urgent care patients through employment. My time in the LVN program I
interned at Sierra Vista and Twin Cities Hospital. My rotations in both
hospitals were in ICU, step down, med surge, OR, labor and delivery and the
emergency room. For long term care, I interned at Bayside, Mission View,
and Vineyard Hills. The skill that I have done in the clinical settings
are; vital signs, neuro, cardiac, respiratory, gastric intestinal, genitor-
urinary, skin, MMSE. I have performed, Foley cath, insert, removal and
care, I&O, accuchecks, NGT insert/care, dressing changes, peg tube feeding,
care of surgical drains, trach care and suctioning, subdermal,
subcutaneous, and IM injections, suture/staple removal, oxygen delivery,
receiving and carrying out orders and all documentation and charting.
