Projects Handled

. Image Mosaicing of Document Images: It is an application developed

using OpenCV which helps to reconstruct the document pages which cannot

be captured in a single image and gives an acceptable output to be fed

into the Optical Character Recognizer.

. EMG and EOG based Cursor Control: It is a HCI application in which

the physiological signals are acquired using the electrodes and based on

the variation in frequency response are used to control the mouse. It is

an extension to the project done using EGT and proves out to be a better

and more efficient method which gives clicking abilities as well.

. Automation in Automobiles using Face Recognition: It deals with

automating the seat of an automobile through the use of a microcontroller

and image processing toolkit of Matlab thereby reducing manual effort in

adjusting the seat. The adjustment of the seat can be done horizontally,

vertically as well as the inclination of the seat can be changed.

. Biometric Identification System using Photoplethysmography: This

project is aimed at security applications and involves the use pulse

oximeter to discriminate between two individuals on the basis of their

PPG waveforms.

. Mouse Control using EGT: A vision based system which aims to help the

physically disabled people and develop a non conventional human computer

interaction technique using which the cursor can be controlled using Eye

Gaze Tracking (EGT). Done as a project for VI Mantra 08 conducted by

National Instruments.

. Self Timed Regenerator: Designed a low power and high speed Self

Timed Regenerator (STR) for on chip global interconnects. The

architecture was designed in Tanner and helped to improve point to point

signaling for varying wire widths.

. Microcontroller Based Temperature Indicator: This project used the

temperature sensors LM34 and LM35 giving temperatures in Celsius and

Fahrenheit respectively and the temperature was displayed on a LCD

interfaced with AT89C5.
