< Structured and managed financing relationships with Wall Street lenders,
national and regional banks, and insurance companies to facilitate
corporate growth. Established an operating line of credit, acquisition
line of credit, and first mortgage facilities.
< Led organic and inorganic growth initiatives to include the acquisition
of 26 hotels, the development of 9 hotels, and the disposition of 15
hotels, which grew revenues from $30 million to over $125 million.
< Valued 28 different entities, gained investor and lender approval,
obtained franchise approval, and created a Board of Managers as part of
consolidating the group that owned 48 hotels into a new holding company
with 3,766 guest rooms.
< Grew Marriott and Hilton franchised guest rooms from 38.5% in 2001 to
67.3% in 2008.
< Formed Summit Real Estate Investments, LLC, a NASD registered broker-
dealer to raise equity to fund acquisition and development activity;
successfully completed three equity offerings since inception.
< Spearheaded the creation of a development group, which consisted of an
EVP, Development, Director of Construction, and associated staff to
manage a development pipeline.
< Formed new franchise relationships with Hyatt and Starwood, which
resulted in the acquisition and development of four Hyatt Place hotels,
and one of the country's first aLoft hotel developments with Starwood.

1993 - 2001
Formerly a wholly owned subsidiary of The Schwan Food Company that operated
financial services companies, including Secured Funding, a division
specializing in the medical and dental markets until its acquisition by US
Bancorp in 2000.
Executive Vice President & General Manager (1996-2001); National Sales
Manager (1995-1996)
Led sales, marketing, credit, collections, and customer service as part of
growing the company from a start-up operation specializing in originating,
funding, and servicing equipment leases and loans secured with medical and
dental equipment to an organization with assets in excess of $150 million.
Created a national sales force during tenure as the National Sales Manager.
Hired and trained a staff of 7 sales professionals; developed sales and
marketing strategies, and subsequently added an inside sales team.
Cultivated relationships with leading manufacturers and developers of
medical and dental equipment to fuel lease and loan originations.
