Received awards from the National Honors Society for academic success

receiving a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Completing the equivalent of a third

year Spanish student I felt sufficient in my comprehension to change my

200 Hour Yoga Alliance Teacher Training

In 15 weeks, comprehensive knowledge was gained about asana, anatomy,

meditation, philosophy and history enriching my 11 year practice. The

purpose for this training was to obtain a deeper understanding and

knowledge about a passion that fuels me. In the process of this training

my awareness grew and my ability to teach has blossomed.

Volunteer for Sacred Heart Women's Shelter and Safe House, Denver, Co

Teaching yoga and life skills to women who are staying at the shelter

allows me the opportunity to encourage and empower the women to take better

who are taking big steps to change and grow.

Immersing myself into urban public charter school gave me an understanding
