OPERATIONS MANAGER

LEAN / Kaizen / Distribution & Warehousing / Global Supply Chain / Cost

Control / Logistics

Labor Management / Process Improvement / Materials Scheduling / Inventory

Control / Training

My expertise in maximizing productivity and minimizing costs has been

critical to both small firms and Fortune 500 companies. With strengths in

operations planning and scheduling, project management, and team building,

I successfully implemented continuous improvement programs, ensuring

quality and increasing profitability.

Through proven knowledge of leading-edge production systems, my strong

track record in operations has resulted in a consistent supply of superior

products and satisfied customers. In brief, my skills include:

o Meeting and exceeding aggressive production goals

o Enhancing processes, significantly improving cost containment

o Increasing outbound shipping accuracy and on-time shipping

o Managing operations to optimize throughput and quality

o Training and leading productive, low-turnover teams

I hold a BS in Informatics from IUPUI (Indiana University-Purdue University

Indianapolis) and will be completing my MBA from Indiana Wesleyan

University in 2011. I am certified in LEAN Kaizen and LEAN

Implementation/A3.

As a true go-getter who works with 100% integrity, I am a hands-on problem

solver who leads by example. I manage teams to complete difficult projects

on time and to budget. Working with a high level of motivation and

integrity, I have excellent written and verbal communication skills that

allow me to win cooperation at all levels.

SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Enhanced performance. Declining performance at CEVA Logistics was an

ongoing issue. Facilitated better communications and integrity between

labor and management. Raised standards and performance measurements.

Initiated process and planning improvements. Improved quality by 28% and

overall productivity by 50%.

Reduced inventory costs. Recognized that CEVA's materials cost and

inventory was not under control. Generated tracking system and fundamental

planning capability for corrugated budget. Minimized on-hand inventory and

storage containers. Reduced material costs from $15M to $10M in one year.

Improved performance and productivity. Daily scheduling work hours at CEVA

were unbalanced, creating hostility between shifts and morale. Coordinated

team to determine daily production capability and level of work volume

between shifts. Leveled shift hours, reducing OT by 10% and raising

performance factor by 5%.

Minimized employee turnover. A training program for new associates at

Galyan's Trading Company did not exist, resulting in high turnover rate and

few experienced staff. Implemented program for new hires to provide

guidance and improve customer service. Increased morale and increased

employee retention by 25%.
