PROJECT WORKS

External Power Source for converting Passive RFID tag into Semi Active.

Dec 2009 -May 2010

Worked on evaluation the design parameters for an external power source,

Designed the CWE (Continous wave Emitter) using a VCO and external

components. Also Developed the power supply bords for the CWE design

using the battery and solar power.

Credit Card Security

Spring 2009

Assessed the security related issues of an RFID enabled Credit Card by

evaluating the Snooping and the Eavesdropping range using the ISO 14443B

proximity cards protocol communication. The experiments were performed

using Texas Instrument's HF RFID reader TRF7960EVM.

RS-485 based bidirectional communication system

Fall 2008

Built the hardware (board layout and component mounting), and developed

the assembly language code to build RS-485 based bidirectional

communications system between a PC and one or more slave controllers (PIC

Microcontroller 18F4620). The design included building of two boards and

interfacing the peripherals like motor, LED's, Buzzer, and tri-colored

LED.

Effect of Foam on performance of RFID System

Spring 2008

Evaluated the effect of foam on the performance of the RFID tags. The

results conformed to the initial assumption that presence of the foam

degrades the performance of a tag. The results were submitted to DIAB

Company to encourage the adoption of RFID in there packaging system.

Metric of Tagged Object

Fall 2007

Designed a methodology and used the same to develop a test metric, a

value that signifies the generic read performance capabilities of an RFID

tagged object, taking into consideration the factors such as frequency

range, power levels. Also developed software for Sirit Infinity 510

Reader using C# and .Net 2.0 based framework for the same.

Micro-Controller Based Static Servo Stabilizer July

2005 - May 2006

The objective of the application experiment was to improve the

Electronics in the existing voltage stabilizer system to make it more

efficient and capable of handling heavier loads and to reduce the

reaction time, at BINARY ENGINEERING Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai. Designed the SMPS

for the Stabilizer and fabricated the rest of the circuit on the PCB

board.

Robotics Jan 2005 - May

2005

Designed the hardware (PCB circuit and mechanical design) along with

developing the software for a four wheel drive robot car. The car was

capable of driving along a fixed track and was used to perform a pick and

place operation on an object of given dimension.
