Responsibilities included: weekly sieve analysis for aggregate piles in the region, specific gravity
testing of cement & fly ash, obtaining core samples from various job sites (including Nissan
plant), maintaining of aforementioned cores in controlled environment, compression testing of
core samples, driver & customer interaction, job site quality assurance & supervision. Very
deadline oriented industry. Core samples must be obtained within a certain timeframe, as well as
deadlines for things like bridge overlays. Many highway projects required that traffic must be
able to travel over bridge within 12 hours of pouring. 24hr on call.
