Employment Experience:
Marcon Engineering January 2010 - Present
Hired as a Project Manager, I was assigned two design / build Navy
projects on 32nd Street Navel Base. Aside from traditional project
manager responsibilities, I was tasked with staff recruitment, staff
organization, procedure implementation, contract document development,
& estimating for bidding new government projects.
The Hanover Company October 2007 - August 2009
Project Manager
While at Hanover I managed the predevelopment phase on multiple
projects and was involved with one during its construction phase. My
predevelopment responsibilities included design development, site
investigations & logistics, budgeting, scheduling, permit acquisitions,
consultant agreements, and contracting with the original land owners.
My construction phase responsibilities included monthly billing
preparation, subcontracting, change order management, permitting,
design, field coordination and scheduling. I was also responsible for
implementing Hanover's project management software, Expedition.
DR Horton, Inc. March 2004 - August 2007
Senior Project Manager
Recruited by DR Horton to develop a construction program to build San
Diego Division's first podium condominium called Pell Place.
Responsibilities include design completion, permit acquisition, hire &
manage 12 onsite staff members, create & maintain the schedule, create
& maintain the budget, contract all consultants & subcontracts, produce
executive monthly reports, integrate new software systems and assist
sales & marketing. My duties quickly expanded to cover multiple project
management and pre-development activities.
Swinerton Builders June 1999 - March 2004
Assistant Project Manager
Originally hired as a Project Engineer my responsibilities began with
the RFI, submittal and As- built process. My responsibilities evolved
into design development, value management, scheduling, permit
acquisitions, material procurement, M.E.P. coordination, new software
integration, owner / subcontractor change order management,
subcontractor invoicing and contracting.
Koll Construction January 1998 - June 1999
Project Engineer
Primary responsibilities were the RFI, submittal, punch list and As-
built process.
