Writer/Producer/Director of promos for primetime Fox Network programming
from conception through finish. Drama, Comedy, Movies, Special Projects and
Reality series .
AMERICAN IDOL: Primary writer/producer and creative force behind the on-air
promotion for television's biggest and most successful series, from its
initial debut through 9 seasons on the air. Responsible for the bulk of the
launch campaigns, upfront presentations and topical episodic promotion.
American Idol has not only given FOX its first ever sweeps and spring
season victories, but set records throughout the TV industry. American Idol
continues to be the dominant #1 series among all shows on television.
Writer/Producer of the launch campaign and episodic promos for So You Think
You Can Dance
which premiered at #1, consistently won it's time slot 2 nights a week and
became the #1 show
of the summer. Launched SYTYCD's 2nd season to even higher ratings where it
again dominated it's timeslots and was the summer's #1 show in all key
demos. Wrote, produced and designed 90% of the launch campaign for The
Simple Life which premiered mid-season at #1(6.6/18) delivering evenly
split gender numbers in all key demos.
Additionally, have written and produced launch and episodic promos for
Kitchen Nightmares, 24, House, The Simpsons, Don't Forget The Lyrics,
Dollhouse, Lie To Me, Glee, Cleveland, and the movie premieres of Lord Of
The Rings and Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, among others.
Director, Creative Advertising- Universal Pictures Marketing
1999 - 2002
Writer/Producer/Director for Universal's marketing department producing
creative materials for domestic and international theatrical campaigns:
Trailers, teasers, TV spots, radio, corporate reels and all associated a/v.
Strategized campaigns. Directed in-house creative/editorial staff. Wrote
copy and conceptualized graphics. Hired and directed narrators, composers
and designers. Produced and directed special shoots. Directed mixes and on-
line sessions. Worked closely with filmmakers, production and senior
management to achieve the studio's marketing goals.
Responsible for major film campaigns including the #1 box-office releases:
The Grinch, The Mummy, The Bone Collector, Bring It On, Pitch Black, Life,
The Watcher and
The Mummy Returns.
Key Art Awards for best Comedy TV (The Grinch) and best Drama TV (Family
Man).

1991 - 1999
Creative Director and managing partner for Dangerous Ideas, a boutique
television and motion picture advertising agency specializing in the
production of trailers, teasers, TV spots, radio and on-air promos. Clients
included the major studios, independent distributors, network TV and cable
broadcasters; Domestic, International, Home Entertainment and On-air
divisions.
