design and publishing industry creating effective marketing, promotional & advertising collateral.
I’ve worn many hats in my career: production artist, production director, art director, creative

Design
Over 24 years of creative logo design, brochures, stationary, direct mail, point of
purchase/packaging, newspaper and magazine layout & design. Created billboard designs, T
shirts, corporate marketing and branding, trade show booth design and production, graphics &
signage, copy writing, digital product and real estate photography, photo retouching and color
correction. Produced company media kits, fliers, coupons, catalogs, post cards, promotional
materials, menus, banners, sales training materials, posters.
Production and Art Direction
Successfully managed the layout, design and production of a 1000 page monthly consumer
publication with duties and responsibilities including: Daily communication with publisher and
sales team to plan the book layout, designing client advertisements, setting and enforcing weekly
and monthly production schedules and deadlines. Maintained and accounted for production work
flow sending daily/monthly work logs and progress reports to the publisher and national art
director/supervisor. Designed and compiled front cover artwork, display ads and photography, tear
cards, fill pages, gate folds, maps, indices and generated a paginated dummy, using Microsoft
Excel. Gathered final ad approvals from sales staff and ad agencies, uploaded art and
photography files to printer FTP server. Managed the online proofing and soft proofing process,
made final corrections and uploads to printer.

Accomplishments
Have won “Employee of the Month” and “Ad of the Month” numerous times, won multiple first
place trade show booth designs and “Haady” awards. I was instrumental in developing many
marketing projects and training materials for the sales and distribution departments. Helped
implement many production and pre press procedures to cut costs and increase productivity, such
as going “paperless”, and streamlining sales production/photography standard requests.
Experienced with online systems, including FTP site management, file upload/download servers,
web based proofing systems, PDF management and photography file management.
