To Whom It May Concern
I have recently completed my BFA as a fashion design major from Parsons, the New School for
Design in New York. My specialty in fashion design is knitwear, but I also have a very strong sense of
knowledge and applicable skills in woven, denim and textile designs. My experiences and
education has prepared be thoroughly for the next stage in my fashion career that I am eagerly
seeking to embark upon.
My course work at Parsons has allowed me to gain a humbling perspective for the intangibles of
fashion design; moreover it has allowed me to become a creative and critical thinker of garment
design. I was able to accumulate such experiences though the creation of my mini collections
during my sophomore and junior year. I have also been very fortunate enough to assist in creating
designs and samples with many woven, knit, and textile and accessories designers in New York. It
was through my thesis collection during my senior year that I was able to showcase what I have
absorbed both in and outside the classroom.
I am a passionate, innovative and ambitious individual who is both relentlessly curious and
confident about art, fashion and design. Having lived in Canada, New York and Seoul, it has given
me a panoramic understanding of fashion trends and the shades of aesthetic cultural differences
of different countries.
The challenges as well as the euphoric sense of reward upon completion of a project are two of
the strongest catalyst that drives me forward toward my goals. I am earnestly convicted that I can
be a constructive and dynamically innovative fit in your fashion design team. I thank you in
advance for your time and cooperation and look forward to hearing back form you shortly.
Sincerely,
Rebecca Soo Yang Choi
